I don’t know about you guys, but I am SO ready for Fall! This summer has been brutally hot, IMO, and I hate the heat. It’s been so bad to me that I’m wishing for winter to get here…and I NEVER do that!
While the heat plays a huge part in my love for Fall, fashion is the other part. Fall fashion is my favorite. I live for big comfy sweaters, boots and just the general feeling of cozy all the time. The stores are starting to put out their fall stuff so here are some early picks I’ve had a chance to check out. We’ll start with Payless shoes because their early line-up really impressed me. All these picks are less than $50!
Top Row: one / two / three / four
Ok, let’s start with the “high end” brand that’s offered by Payless. Chiristian Siriano has had a line of shoes and bags at Payless for a while and he usually has one or two really stand out pieces. This season, I found all of these! The two gladiator heels are so runway. The gold ones are great for homecomings and weddings that might be coming up or getting a jump on a NYE outfit. The black ones are just cool any time. I had them in my cart but didn’t know if I would end up wearing them…they still might find their way home with me…
The mules are spot on the trend for fall and come in black too. And booties never go out of style, also in white. I really like the split open heels but, again, not sure I have a place to wear them and the heel is a bit high for me these days. But I still think they are fabulous. The handbag is the best one in the collection and comes in four colors. It jumped out at me because it looks so designer and expensive. It was hard to decide which color to get but I settled on this dark red.
The next collection is from the junior-focused line called Brash. Those sneakers are a Steve Madden look-a-like and come in four colors. I have been going back and forth about the purple ones… You can’t tell in the picture, but the black booties are perforated. They also come in red and I love the lower heel. I don’t really think I need to explain why the gray booties are fabulous. 🙂 They also come in black. The strappy heel is another basic that will go with a ton of looks. Great all year long. Comes in four colors as well including super versatile black and nude.
one / two / three / four / five
Last is a collection of a few brands offered at Payless. The silver heels are another classic style that will go with everything. Also in gold. Those Converse look-a-likes come in 19, yes 19, different colors. Fun way to show some school or team spirit this game day. I have to take a minute and tell you about these brown, faux leather ballet flats. Every now and then there’s a deal on something that just turns out to be amazing. For me, these flats were one of those times. I bought this exact same pair two years ago from Payless. I wanted to see if I would get a lot of use out of a brown leather pair of ballet flats before I invested in a nice pair. Well, I wore them a ton because they go with everything. I started looking for a real leather pair that I could upgrade to that would last me forever. I’m still looking for a leather pair that fit as nicely as these Payless ones. If I ever find them, I will be sure to let you guys know. Until then, my Payless flats are still going strong. After two years and a ton of wear, they still look really good and aren’t falling apart. But they are getting a little funky inside because I don’t wear them with socks. TMI? I don’t know… Any way. I just bought two more pair this week because they have become such a staple in my wardrobe and I have no idea if I’ll ever be able to find a leather pair I love as much. Long story…still kinda long, I highly recommend them.
These last two pairs of sneakers are just so cool and look like they could be a name brand. The first one comes in, wait for it… 17 different colors!! I had a hard time deciding which color to get but I ended up going with the peach one. The teal shoe with the fancy laces comes in five colors and I just think it’s cool. 🙂
