Over the summer Target made the announcement that they would be getting rid of some lines in their stores. Among them were Merona and Mossimo for women’s clothing and Liz Lange for Maternity.
Needless to say, this news did not go well with Marta and me. One of the things we bonded over very quickly was our love for Target and the deals we get there, specifically in the clothing section. We loved both these lines and I was nervous about what would replace them.
But, I decided to keep an open mind since the Who What Wear line at Target turned out to be one of my favorites (if you haven’t checked this line out, you must!). So when I started seeing pieces from a.n.d (A New Day) trickle into my Target, I made it a point to check it out. At first, I wasn’t overly impressed. The styles were basic and the prices were higher than the Merona line I liked so much. But the quality was good and they were definitely pieces I could work with, so, I decided not to rule the brand out just yet.
Well, I’m happy to say that Target didn’t open with their best designs. The winter/holiday collection now in stores is AMAZING. If a.n.d stays on this track, they’ll easily become my go-to for quick fashion. Here are my picks available right now, all under $50. I’d love to hear what you guys think of all this change at Target and if you’ve pulled the trigger and bought some a.n.d.
Here is what I bought. There was a sale on outerwear and boots, so I stuck with those. I have been looking for an light anorak coat fr a while and a.n.d has a few to chose from. I went with this longer version. Nice quality and a nice weight. The waxed field jacket was a real surprise. It reminded me of these Barbour jackets that are quite pricey. The jacket is listed as “navy” but it almost black in real life. It also has a night weight and the quality is good. I’ve been searching for a blue quilted jacket to copy a Pinterest outfit for two years. I had one at Target last year but waited for a sale and lost out on the color. This year, I wasn’t going to make the same mistake. Another nice coat from the a.n.d. line. The green sweater was just a fun purchase for $18 and comes in a few colors and the suede boots are basics that I’m sure I’ll wear for years (also come in black). All in all, I’m pretty happy with my purchases.

Here are some tops and sweaters I have my eye on. I almost bought that cardigan with the bell sleeves when sweaters were on sale. That tie-waist blouse is in my cart (it’s on clearance!) and I’m stalking that comfy sweatshirt. Right now, a.n.d sweaters are on sale in stores!

How cute are all these dresses?! Velvet is having a moment right now for the holidays and I wish I had a place to wear that jumpsuit… Who am I kidding. I want them all!
I literally had every single one of these in my cart when Target had a sale on cold weather accessories. But I had some self control and didn’t get anything. The minute these go on clearance though… The gloves are all tech gloves and that fur is removable (and also comes in black)! The striped fur scarf comes in a beautiful jewel tone as well that would go great with that teal velvet dress shown above.
And…all the clothing styles come in plus size too!
